The Christmas Tree Thread...
Put ours up yesterday... decorated in fancy stuff and race car ornaments My mom made me the ornaments with a case of hotwheels cars she found at a garage sale years ago and some eye hooks... turned out really cool. Only took pics of two of them, but have about 30 on the tree in all.

Wife likes fake trees, I'm a real tree guy. It'll be interesting to see who wins this year.

Fake tree all the way, I can do things like leave off the rear lower branches to push it back into the corner better. Also, I run lights up and down each branch as I'm putting it together so it really glows, something you can't do w/ a real tree. No messy cleanup etc. etc. Plus it's a one-time purchase.

Pre-lit Fake Oregon Pine tree here. Saved time and money! I just put up and hang ornaments on it. Did the Native American theme this year.

Always had a real tree until last year when we got a pre lit fake one. Slap on some cheap ornaments and voila.. the wife is happy.
Remember: Happy wife = Happy life.

The wife decided our tree was too big this year. So she had me cut 2 1/2 feet off the base and all six branches. Looks pretty good. It's all trimmed in cars and christmas balls and has a snowman head on top.

I'll have to get a pic of mine, got a 12' tree to put in the foyer and had to cut off a ton off the side and back to get it to fit against the walls so we could walk past it into the kitchen...

Thought about putting ours in the foyer as well, but sounds like we'd have to do what you did.

I've got Trim Masters coming on Friday to do some custom work. We'll put the tree up this weekend and I'll post pics. We usually have it up by now.

Nice trees so far.
I like real trees (so do the cats), but my GF just wanted a small fake Charlie Brown tree this year. |

Haha, got a call from the roommate last night as he was putting lights on that one of the cats had climbed half way up the tree and started trying to grab the lights that were turned on... damn indoor cats and their curiosity!

You'd think after getting hurling enough up pine needles - they'd learn! But NOPE, they can not help themselves!

Tree is up, just to dang lazy to take a pic of it. It be a fake one....the cheep alternative, only got to buy one like every 10 years or so...plus none of the clean up or maintenance that comes with a real one.
All done up in Coca-cola mostly, even down the the Coca-Cola Polar Bear holding a star on the top.
