I have been concerned about the borders since I was a teenager. I worked in the fields in the Central Valley in Calif and I was about the only person who spoke english other than my Mother. She was unemployed and we worked the fields to make the bills. Do Americans want to work in the fields no, the farmers take advantage of this. Secure our borders and starting today works, I can not go back to the last two terms you like to refer to. AZ stepped up to the plate to try to get there hands around this problem. Texas where I live has spent over 100 million of my taxs dollars in the last two years on border security above and beyond what the Feds give us and this is the Feds responsiblilty. Oh I live in the San Antonio metroplex and we have many illegals here. I bet there were a few of them on my roof several years ago when I had an insurance claim and had a contractor do the work.

Secure the borders and round up the illegals and deport them I do not care about race either all of them

Back when I was in high school which was 40 years ago, I was taught that the population of the US was 200 million. It's now 300 million and continues to outgrow the infrastructure. We see it everyday with increased traffic, over-crowded schools, etc. I've been complaining about uncontrolled immigration - both legal and illegal - for years.

Charity begins at home. It's unfortunate that the entire doesn't enjoy the prosperity the US has seen for the last 50 years but who says we're responsible for the rest of the world. While we're taking care of everyone else, we're going straight down the crapper.

being "responsible for the rest of the world" isn't what it's about. it's about abundantly cheap hard working laborers. we need to come down on the people hiring them. as far as blaming the illegals themselves, I tend to think dirt floors & no running water coupled with starving children is a helluva motivator. can we blame them?
