51 last March.

I got them all, some were legit gold and others not so much. If you want I can walk you through them. At age 57 I'm qualified on Insteddit, FaceSpace, MyBook, Twoogle, and of course AltaVista.

some days yes... other days i fail spectacularly.

the heart group nurse called today, said my pacer is doing just fine (they read it remotely over night), read it again in August and December (September is hunting season).

How many years since it was put in? My wife got seven years each out of the first two, they say the newest one will last up to ten years. Someday soon they will recharge them with no surgery.

it'll be 6 years this December. they are guessing another year past that before time for a new one. might be a simpler one, which would require less power, and thus longer battery life.

when i was in the ICU for 5 days, there were several doctors who stopped by to check on me and also talk with Mrs. DAB (who was very worried about me), and they had a general report to her: 1/3 he gets better, 1/3 he needs a heart transplant, 1/3 he doesn't make it. i heard this. pretty sobering.

and all that time, i'm not worried about dying, i'm worried about finishing up the kitchen remodel (it was about 1/3 done at that point) and keeping my promise to Mrs. DAB that i'd get the kitchen done.

i got it done about 9 months later.

if you know where you are going when you die, you aren't worried about dying.

but i wasn't done here, so i'm still around.

It’s a soft drink/sparking water type beverage. Unsweetened. Just a hint of flavor. Not my favorite. The orange is not bad. Stay away from the coconut.

2. What is an owl city song and why does it take five hours to select one?

She was just being facetious, trying to convey just how long some people would spend on making their MySpace profiles cute. You could customize them and people would change them up with music and playlists and background skins and such. Almost like you were designing your own (scaled down) web page.

Because if she took 5 hours to pick out an owl city song, she probably ate too many paint chips.

My wife buys Lacroix sometimes. One day I decided to try one. It's like carbonated water with a drop of artificial flavoring. It's not bad or gross or anything, it's just stupid. Sparkling water with a slice of lemon would be infinitely better.

Just remembered. When she first brought some home I asked her what it was. She said "It's like homeopathic soda."
