Hawk predators?
I found a scene of mass destruction in my driveway a few mornings ago. Loads of white feathers, long & short, and a bird wing about a foot long. The wing was a black/brown & white speckled. Pictures on the internet make it seem that it may have been a red-tailed hawk, which we do have in the area.
So what could have done that to a hawk? I thought that they were near the top of the food chain. We have coyotes & foxes around; I’m wondering if a hawk may have attacked one of them & lost the battle?

More likely a bigger hawk or eagle.

More devastation
So this was out in front today. All white wings, each about 8" long; looks to me like a former chicken? I found a half of a chicken on the lawn one morning, and I know there are people nearby who raise them.
