Kids are using vodka-soaked tampons to get drunk. It's supposedly a widespread practice, and not only girls are doing it, as boys have been doing it by going through the back door.

Because the tampons are fully saturated, and the alcohol is not going through the digestive system, the alcohol is being absorbed directly into the blood stream, and more alcohol is being absorbed this way. Avoidance of the digestive system also makes it impossible to regurgitate the alcohol.

There are also people who use beer bongs for "butt chugging", which is exactly what it sounds like. It's nice to know that there are people who are willing to shove tampons up their asses just to get really drunk in a discreet fashion.

We had a cat that you could not leave an untended wine glass around, because she would drink it. At first my wife thought I was drinking her wine and I thought she was drinking it. Then we noticed Bandit was having a little trouble making it to her food bowl.

Yep, she doesn't hide her taste for gin very well--or its effects. She insists on doing head-sitting after she's imbibed, but she has trouble staying up there in her condition. If I'm lucky she'll just fall off; otherwise it's claws in the head with her trying to hang on. After she's had a night of drinking, you could hear her snore in the next State.
