It's been raining off/on today, too. I like the rain so that's nice. I don't like the mud that gets tracked in the house from the dogs though lol. Hold off on that outlet!

That hasn't been my experience.

If you're paying out-of-pocket they charge you the full boat price. The "insured" price is usually significantly cheaper because insurance companies negotiate lower rates that medical folks are contractually obligated not to exceed. All of my "Explanation of Benefits" statements show the amount the doctor charged in one column and the (lower) amount that is allowed under the contract.

Bear is a muddy mess if it rains. He's torn up the yard so much it's more mud than yard in alot of areas

They charge the full price but usually knock 30%-50% off the bill.

Exactly, you first ask for the self-pay discount, then you can ask to apply for their charitable coverage because they are required to spend so much to help people with medical bills per year on their budget but you have to ask for it. They sometimes pretend they don't know what you're talking about because they're real protective about it but the qualifications are minimal.
