Damn, this really hits hard. We talked for years in threads, both old timers at the other place and he sent me a private message in September to post more over here. Many that really sucks, enjoyed the conversations over the years. Prayers for his friends and family, it is not easy to pick up the pieces.

Hello friends. Here is another pic of a happy Jim. He was on one of them fishin trips with his boy and his pops. He was such a musicophile and we had so many other things in common. He was a great guitar teacher and coach. The last time we talked he asked me to learn Amazing Grace for him. I did. As we parted he wasn’t feeling well and I suggested he chillax with some headphones and some Steely Dan and hope he feels better. He said I’m gonna chillax with some headphones and some Steely Dan and feel better.

Farewell my Cajun brother from another mother. Wish I could hear your voice again. May you bask in the warmth of The Lord’s loving grace.

Yup, last time I talked to him he had some hope he'd make it until Christmas but knew that wasn't likely. Mike recently sent me a link to a memorial video with a bunch of photos; he can post some or let me know if it's okay for me to do that.
