Did a little more work in the interior today.
Added door trim strips where the carpet meets the panel, below the window cranks.
Drilled 6 holes and mounted the strip from the back of the panel.

Lost one of the rings that hold the crank on. Went to Napa for a
replacement pin. Too late, already closed.
Ace hardware? No luck.
AutoZone? No pin, "but hey, we got this shiny new Cardone hand crank,
and it's in stock".

I now got a shiny new passenger door window crank.

Wish my body was up to the task these days!

My wife took over oil change detail, because she got sick of watching me trying to get up again!

Should have faked this years ago!

I never knew how much I needed a lift until i got one. I'm regretting not getting one decades earlier or should I say my back is.

Looking good Mike..

I going back to work next week, and for my first wish, it will be a 2 or 4 post lift!

This little thing is more work than it's worth. it's only good for detailing!
Having a car drop on me many years ago in my driveway, I will not get under it!

Lady never available to talk about it her daughter answered the phone.. Wth. Took months back n forth before went and looked at it. My F350 had broken down, something in fuel system. So trailered pieces single and double to home.
While chains soaked in oil poured concrete pads and setup main posts. New hoses as they were rotted. Took weeks of soaking and cleaning to get chains freed up. Price was right at 2k. I figure every oil change worth 20 bucks, trans oil changes double that. We've done engine swaps on it, change a tire, do brakes. Lift car up, no more laying on ground for a fuel pump either It's paid for itself now. I'm looking for a 2 post lift for other bay or formin between the bays.

Got the car back from paint today.
2 stage, turned out good. It's now a 2 footer.

Had the door jambs done too, but not the hood gutter rails. I'll do those myself.
I'll post up a few more pixs tomorrow.

More pix of the re-paint.

I originally was going to wait until all the mechanical items were fixed before getting it repainted next year,
but I couldn't stand the sight of all the scratches, chips, and embedded sun baked dirt 5 tone paint scheme.
Now, I can enjoy driving it, while I work on all the other items I need to fix up.

Nope. Bought the '76 after I had the Z06 for 3 years.

Looks nice.... For an added touch, rattle can the inner fenders a satin black or use an undercoating product to get them nice and black.

Took care of all 4 wheel wells, plus the brake ducts yesterday and today.

Engine rebuild, Holley Dominator and some heads/cam work and you're set

Serious though, that'll be a great toy to play with and clean up.
