Damn do I wish I had your lift!

BTW many moons ago, my brother had a '67 427 coupe with factory sidepipes.
I believe those were chambered exhaust too.

If you were closer, I'd be there in a heartbeat (or 50,000, whatever).
What does a rig like that cost, ball-park?
Alas, no P/U, but a van or SUV, with a 5 x 8 garden trailer, 1500lbs max. load.

How's the new job going?

It's been a while since buying it, but if memory serves, around $800.

Job is working out great, and it sure feels good when the checks are deposited!

For those who aren't in the bar thread, got the exhaust installed today.
Today's 5 hour project. Icing my shoulder as I type.
Decided I'm not waiting on my friend who has a lift, so I used my 2 ramps and floor jacks.

Old Targa vs New (previous used gently) chambered exhaust.

Early next week when my brother gets his son's LM Stock car off his lift,
I'm going to have him weld the pipes together where they join up just before
the center ports in the cross frame. Got minor leaks at the clamps (only 1.5" overlap because PO cut the header collector ends off). The whole system will then be welded.

I'll try and get a sound clip. Fantastic sound now that its true duals.
Previous Targa setup ran from manifolds, 2 into 1/catalytic converter/1 into 2, Targas'.

That car turned out to be a great candidate for what you wanted to do. It sounds like a real good runner, and the interior and paint work you did really turned out great! Great job, and enjoy it!

Default UPDATE 4/10/2023

Well, it's been a little over 5 months since I lost interest in this project.

Winter, plus life altering circumstances put a kink in my interests,
and I kind of lost any, if not all interest in the project.
It has always been in the back of my mind to maybe get rid of this thing,
or maybe even finish up what I started. I just didn't have the desire to get back
into it. Until today.
It was mid 70s, and sunny.
I had a few new parts sitting in the garage, so I decided why not put them on.
Installed new sun visors and storage compartment finger loop-pulls that I
ordered from Corvette America last year, then decided to paint the underside of the hood.
Took pix of the hood.

Paint isn't dry yet, but it will eventually match the rest of the underhood
matte black finish.

Might put insurance on it by the end of the month. Cruises and shows started this past weekend.
It was kind of nice listening to the chambered exhaust at startup.
