Shirley you jest, I wanted to take her someplace nicer, offered up a few oceanside top-tier places, she opted to stay home, she had a covid scare a few weeks ago and restaurants are not on her list. We head to Maine in a week, so pretty certain every night will be a great dinner at a restaurant.

BTW, olive garden is unique, every location in the USA has the same-named chef, Mike, short for microwave, as I sure you knew every meal is nuked by the server and then brought to the table with a 500-degree plate.

Guy up on the corner got like 295k for his house with a tired/old/unused pool that sat for some 15 years or so......new owner took it out.....6 major trucks full of fill dirt, plus of course hauling much metal/etc away....may not have been much choice in the matter....but the ground is level, no clue as to what they paid for that, and the new folks have never met anyone here that I know of.....
hole in the ground was ~20' wide and some 40' long....

So I am thinking either a new fishing pole, or a ProCharger for 'our'--that's funny, Z06, or maybe a new driver and fairway woods, or another stool for the bar. Of course none would be anything she would use, but would allow me to be more joyful, which in many ways benefit her.

Let me know, this is tough, as I need her to be happy,,, thanks.

Pool is definitely out, before I would consider spending that I would consider another house with much bigger yard, one-story and at least 6+ garage spaces--current house is big enough, 2-story, 3000+ sqft, big patio, 3-car, and 5 bedrooms of which 4 are empty, I need a house with car space and at least one mancave dammit!!
I may need acreage, as am seriously thinking of getting at least 3 more doggies, maybe 5.

As I stated earlier, hopefully she has a few of those magic rabbit thingys hidden in her nightstand.

YES !! They bring that piping hot dinner out with the yellowed noodles still stuck together on one side. Mmmmmm. I can almost hear the "beep beep beep" of the microwave timer.

Then the breadsticks...oh my...the third or fourth reheat really leaves an impression. You let your mind wander and try to envision what the people before you were celebrating that distracted them from finishing their breadsticks and how many other tables they had been to before yours.

These are the moments that define "celebration". You should rethink it.

How about a designer birthstone ring? Got my wife a big Aquamarine marquis cut last spring for her birthday. Pear drop cut is also good. Think I gave around $800 for it.

Dinner sucked, did curbside at outback, $70 for a filet and sirloin, average at best, salads were weak--all white leafs, shrimp was more batter than meat, bread was nasty.
