The recent decline in some regards feels more severe, as the magnitude of the price drop offers a dose of reality to new investors who poured money into cryptocurrencies during last year’s rally. Many were drawn to the prospect of investing in currencies outside the control of central banks and governments, but now are having to succumb to market forces.

Boy howdy, plenty of folks that jumped on the "Intarweb Dollars" have a hangover now.

People should have invested in something more stable, like Iraqi Dinars.

There were quite a few GIs that bought even $1k worth of that shit. One guy I worked even got on the $1k train. I think he ended up using them while camping as fire starter.

I'd say you're smart about it. Those that chase the "Intarweb dollars"...not so much...

I bought 600 BitCoin back in 2009 for $34 but I gave them to a dude for three pizzas. That was a mistake.

Wow, hindsight is a killer sometimes.

My story, I bought new Bose 601 speakers for ~$600 in 1987. Imagine if I had bought msft stock.

I threw some money back into Lite Coin at $147.00.
It seems $150 is support.
We shall see.....

https://www.cnbc.com/quotes/?symbol=LTC.CB=

BTW Dixie. I have found that watching the BTC or LTC streaming quote on the CNBC website is magically ahead of the curve of Coinbase.
You see what happens on CNBC a good 2-3 minutes before the price change on Coinbase.
The link above can be very helpful when getting ready to pull the trigger on Coinbase. I keep both windows open and refresh my Coinbase account while watching the CNBC ticker, simultaneously. It's weird, but totally true. I've done 4 trades that way now, and that is how it was every time.
