Traffic cameras making for good tv in Raleigh this morning, only an inch or so of snow for us hereand roads are clear. Surprisingly local schools haven't closed yet just delayed.
Cold here though and my back is hating on me now.
Have a good one...

Sounds great! As long as it can't mimic trees I would like to give it a try Is it set up for individual play or group play?

Where did you play it? I would like to look it up online.

And yes, trees do get in the way, played with the usual group I play with in the summer.

We’ve put our bags close to someone if a tree was in the way, it was discouraged by the guy working there

Geez, we've got nothing on the roads here but they've closed Charlotte Meck and Union County schools.

The starter motor itself has a device, called a Bendix gear, which engages its pinion with the gear ring on the flywheel only while the starter is turning the engine. It disengages as soon as the engine picks up speed, and there are two ways by which it does so - the inertia system and the pre-engaged system.

I recall you stating an inaccurate function for the bendix.

I'm not agreeing with you, I'd never do that willingly. I do agree with conventional methods of determining a direction.

Nice deflection.

Bright Suns BarfLies

Serious question for Candee: Why is it such a thing in the medical profession to make doctors, interns, and the like work crazy ridiculous hours? Is there some unintuitive advantage for a patient to receive treatment from a zombie doctor?

Legit question, 20 yrs ago when I was in school, it was expected that you be put through almost an "initiation" to prove you could handle the stress, like a boot camp for medical professionals. There were times I was 3 days on straight, sleeping at the hospital, sometimes so sleep deprived I had no business making life saving decisions.

They have gotten away from that, now I think it is more an issue of severe understaffing. That is 2 fold, 1st, many hospital directors are trying to deal with budget shortages, the other is there are just not enough qualified medical staff to fill the job positions.

I get probably 10 job offers a year. I would never have trouble finding work. Medical field is a great field to go into if you want to avoid unemployment.

You are so lucky you get to take such amazing rides! Great views. Do you go to St Petersburg much? Tim wants to golf there one of these days.

I'm deflecting? Projection at its finest again.

The post that started this was me pointing out to aerovette that there is no switch on the solenoid. He disagreed with me (not the most respectful disagreement I've ever seen, but a disagreement nonetheless), and posted a Wikipedia entry to support his position. I gave the technical reason why what aerovette posted AND what was in the Wikipedia entry were incorrect. Aerovette researched the question further, and determined that I was right. At that point, it was OVER.

But here you are, doing the classic UD arguing tactic of wanting to shift the argument to some tangentially related topic in a "Hail Mary" attempt to obfuscate the fact that you were wrong. This is why I said yesterday that you were projecting saying that I would continue arguing after I was proven wrong. Newsflash: NONE of my posts in that other thread made any attempt to offer an exhaustive explanation of what happens at the starter solenoid. Second newsflash: even if we exhaustively cover the Bendix, we still haven't explained everything that goes on at the starter solenoid, OK?
