1999 Chevy Silverado 2500. In reality, all my GM trucks have been reliable as hell.

My 21 F150 powerboost. 3.5L hybrid ecoboost. Gets low side of mid 20s for MPG. Pretty comfortable, all the features you want/ need, and a 7.2k onboard generator that can power most of my house during outages, during hurricane season. Recent trip up to Blue Ridge last year. Made it on 1 and a 1/4 tank of fuel. 11 hr drive from my house.

I have to say, in the mid-to-late 90s I drove this car between Chesapeake, VA and Leonardtown, MD EVERY week for two years and it never once gave me a problem. While working in MD it was my daily driver all week.

3-1/2 hours each way at 70 mph on back roads. Original 289 4-speed which I also auto-crossed occasionally.

2019 4runner Limited. Just works. No drama.
2002 Corolla S. Again, no real drama, just ran till it was wrecked at 200000 plus.
Maintenance is what keeps cars going. Simple. For most cars.

I'm starting to really like my '22 base Ranger. Now that Ford has widened the '24 by 2" and only sells it as a crew cab/ 5' bed, mine's now a "classic". The engine is very smooth, no turbo lag, and runs fine on 87 octane cheapo gas. I like it better than the engine in my '18 Porch.

Bought my daughter her 2015 Mustang Eco Peformance in 2016 for $21K, sticker was $38K, has under 20K miles.
She drove it in high school and college, still has it, will sell as moving north.
100+K miles, no major repairs, everything including air works fine, she may get $6-7K when she sells in a few months.

Wifey's Ford Fusion was a great car.
Load titanium trim, B2B for 75K at no extra cost, out the door for $31K.
put the rear seats down and it was an SUV heading for HDepot.
Got over 120K miles on it in five years, sold for $9,500.

I like them Fords!!

I have owned a lot of cool cars. Most of my cars I have made into
hot rods. My 66 was not much when I bought it but I made it into
a real nice car. It is the only car that when I stop for fuel, waiting
at a stop light. or parking people come over to look at my 66 and ask
questions. People have seen me driving and follow me home to look
at the car. I drive, on a weekend I will drive a couple of 100 miles. I still
race it (i/4 mile.) I am a NHRA memeber. I have made my 66 a comfortable
all season driver. Plus it looks good.

My 2012 Grand Sport. No issues and a nice ride.

Best budget car was my ‘70 Challenger SE. Paid $900 because the wiring was fried from a bad stereo install. Picked up the wiring from a junk yard and rewired with help from my dad. It was the first car I ever owned that cranked right up, almost before I was done turning the key.

best vehicle so far is my 2018 Ram 2500 w/ 6.7L Cummins. By far most comfortable and least problematic.

A new crew cab Ranger parked next to me at the bank and it was a hair taller and longer than my 4x4 '05 Tundra, but a hair narrower. My V8 Tundra was a smaller truck in every way except about 6 inches in width, a much bigger interior, and a usable bed. My engine (4.7 V8) was probably bigger, too. Perhaps less HP than the Ford. We'll see which one is still on the road in 20 years. Probably both, if the fast beating little mill in the Ford holds up.
