I'd be wondering why a for sale add has a $2200. guitar in the pics with broken strings.
I do like PRS guitars though. |

PRS guitars with that body style are about the same size and thickness as something like a Gibson SG, which many players describe as "a little heavy", so this probably weighs about the same. It's been a while since I have been shopping for guitars, but I'm not sure exactly which model that is. It looks a lot like this one: https://www.guitarcenter.com/PRS/SE-...00000029886.gc On sale at your local Guitar Center for $699 I do like PRS guitars, but have not owned any, yet. |

I've owned two PRS guitars. Both Custom 24s. The build quality is nothing short of spectacular. (They're not heavy either)
Unfortunately I never really bonded with either one. They sound sterile to me. It's not uncommon to read; They do it all! Les Paul and Strat tones in one guitar. Well, no they don't do it all. They don't do either. They absolutely have their own sound and it's about as uninspiring as you can get. YMMV. |

She's a garage queen, that's for sure.
The neck has very little wear and the body is pristine. I prefer an American Fender over that though. |

I don’t know much about Santa Cruz other than they’re a boutique manufacturer with an excellent reputation.

Check out this bad boy. Aluminum neck strat. If you don’t want to see him build it skip to 7:50. |

I had all my shit set up yesterday. So, a few quick shots.
1960 Les Paul Standard Reissue. Ibanez RG450DX And the pride of the fleet. 1987 Clapton Strat. I've owned this since it was new. I'll be homeless before I sell it. |

I understand the desire to have a guitar that sounds great right out of the box, but there is something to be said for high-quality manufacturing to give you a lot of flexibility with the sound. For example, I bought a Schecter guitar years ago that was just a piece of shit. No amount of fiddling with electronics was going to cover the fact that the guitar was not manufactured properly such that no matter how it was set up (I had a few professionals try), the action sucked and the fret buzz was front-and-center at all times. I ended up giving up and selling it. |
