Where do you buy your tires from?
Where does everyone buy their tires from, I am in need of a new set of front ones soon and I was checking Tirerack.com and seen these.
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 I love the look. But still prefer Nittos on the rear, which still have decent amount left. Where else is a good place to shop?

I have used tirerack and was happy with how quick they delivered. I got my PS2's from Zip Corvette.

I've bought a number of sets from Tire Rack. It went well every time but they don't carry all brands - most but not all. You can even have them shipped to the place that is doing the install.

I used to buy from Tire Rack all the time, until I got this car and went to 19/20" wheels.
I had a very tough time finding a place around here willing and able to tackle the job of mounting those low-profile tires w/o fear of wheel damage, so once I found "that" place, I stuck with them. They've done great work for me for many years now, and when I need tires, I shop Tire Rack first mainly for research and ballpark price, then have the local shop quote on what I end up deciding to buy. Once Tire Rack shipping cost is factored in, the local shop usually comes in VERY close in total price, so I just toss the business their way and let them take care of it all. They usually get the tires in the next day too. Much more convenient for me, and I'm sure they appreciate the sale too, vs me just carrying in new tires to have them mounted/balanced. |

Good point, I dare not spend the cash on 19/20 even though is a sick looking combo.

You might be surprised at how close in price they quote compared to the mail order discount shops when it's all said and done. |

Most shops will match internet pricing if you print out the price.
I've bought several sets from tirerack, and never a problem. Discounttire.com has Invos for 700 a set, shipped, in stock C5 sizes.

I price match locally............but, sometimes I buy from E-bay/Tire rack and on the CF through vendors/members.
The key as already said above is to get a GOOD local tire installer/shop. Try to stick with 1 and build a relationship with them My guy could dismount OEM RFs from an OEM mag wheel w/o chipping/maring the paint.....................thats dam good! I use tire rack, I looked in Discount tires for the set I have now, but they were out of stock.
I KNOW I am going to get flack for this, but check with the dealership (I prefer RK, anything that I <read: my father with me fetching tools> can't do, always goes to RK, and after a Camaro and two vettes, never a complaint about their work) I know that they were matching prices on tires AND giving a $50.00 gift card. It was $25.00 per tire to mount and balance them...that included them un-mounting the old tired and removing the TPMS.

I've always used Discount Tire in the past but I haven't had to buy fancy tires for the Vette yet so I'll see who has the best price when the time comes. I already have a shop who I would have do the mounting so I would give them first crack at giving me a deal on tires as well.
