Default Well I have not had a meltdown in a while..

but today was the day.

About a year and a half ago I bought a canon MG7720 printer and had it about 6 months until I discovered it was a piece of sh!t and i had a meltdown and destroyed it in the middle of the street. So I bought another one exactly the same and have had it for a year until yes you guessed it today, it was a good day to die. I took it outside and destroyed it in the street again my neighbors thought I was nut's, my dog was terrified of the loud cursing and yelling at the piece of sh!t and cleared a path out of my way because I was taking no prisoners. I have been picking parts off the street in 100 degree heat for 15 minutes in between traffic. But guess what I fell a lot Fuc#ing better and I'm cured of my rage for the moment. I will never buy another piece of sh!t canon product again.

I need a cheap printer that is easy to use can anyone give me ideas..

FYI: I feel a lot better..

We've had an HP Office Jet Pro going on a year now and it works flawlessly. Don't remember what we paid, but I'm a cheap **** so it probably wasn't too expensive.

Edit: just did a search on it and it is still available for $100. It's a model 6978

Pics or it never happened

I purchased a Brothers MPC 9700 almost 6 years off Craigslist for $20. It's still working great and I've purchased new drums and toner twice. I get the drum / toner combo off ebay for about $30 shipped.

Funny you should mention Canon printers.

We had a problem with ours last week. We've had it about six years. It needed ink, and in the process of trying to get the old cartridge out, it got jammed in such a way that it was halfway out, but we couldn't get it out or back in. Before I proceeded in the same direction as you, my wife took a different approach. She called Canon to see if they could help us with the problem. They immediately offered to ship us a new comparable model, which has a retail price of about $90, for $40. Also a set of extra ink cartridges and they also threw in some photo paper. They paid for shipping, and it arrived in a few days. Women just do things differently, I guess.

Plus I still have the old one so I guess I could go out and work it over with a hammer.

I think that is what we have. My wife runs a business. I'd like to say small business, but that printer gets used A LOT. She keeps it going, but I have to say between her printing shit CONSTANTLY and me using it every couple of days, I have absolutely no complaints. We have had ours at least 5 years.

I bought an HP 8600 series printer from Costco back in 2012.
I've used it almost every day and it's been flawless!!!!!

It's under a window that is usually open in the summer so I took the original
carton and cut out the bottom, cut opening for power switch, and delivery tray,
The oval cutouts in the ends of the carton make it easy lift off and ventilation,
but the carton keeps DUST out of it! I remove it only for tray feeding and
replacing paper supply and ink cartidges. The carton stays on when I print from the computer.

Pretty sure that voids the warrenty.

Are you sure it is a thousand pieces? Did you count each one?

Pics of printer in trash can?
