Toronto, Ontario.
Back to the time(50's), yes!
Now, NO! It's become too much of a libtard shithole to support intelligent thinking or living.

Lived in Winston~Salem for 4 years, loved the neighborhood we were in and the geographical area, but the racial tension was so thick, even in the 80's.... other than that, I loved NC.

I was born in Chattanooga. I grew up in East Ridge, a suburb, from seven to nineteen. Lived in Georgia for about twelve years during my first marriage. After the divorce I bought my house in East Ridge Aug, 1992, and have lived here since. I never really moved far and saw no reason to. My family and friends are mostly still in this area within a thirty minute or so drive. We will likely sell this house and move out of East Ridge before much longer but won't be moving a great distance.

Small world, I know exactly where that is. I assumed you got the Trackhawk from St. Marys Chrysler. My 94 vette and my dad’s 99 and 11 both came from Buds

Short answer, no.

I grew up outside of Harleysville, PA. It was the area where my relatives settled in the 1730s.

What used to be rural with plenty of farms and nice neighbors turned into a little city with all the associated riff raff. Still some good folks there but they are few and far between.

Not even sure I'll retire in PA. School taxes are completely out of control as each school board can raise them as THEY see fit.

You might as well pack up and come on down to Ga. Nice weather most of the time, you have mountains, and beaches within easy reach, and as you know, this is gun country.

My niece’s husbands mom had a 1800 sq ft house in Daly City they sold 3 years ago. Purchase price-$26000. Sold @ 1.8 MM. split 3 ways, they bought a great place in Jacksonville Fla.

[quote=C3C7NIC;1694331]Norm and Donn~E, I go back often as I have lots of family there. I enjoy my visit, but enjoy coming back to my current home. Although I had amazing childhood memories on the gunpowder river/Chesapeake bay/Atlantic ocean, it's a place I could never see myself moving back to as it has changed SO much!

Mine and wife's family are all mostly in the Bel Air area of Harford Co., MD, about 30 miles north of the big shithole. I don't have to drive near it to visit there, go around the top side.

Does make for very cold temps in the valley in wintertime when the air is still. Still a great place.

Man, does that area bring back memories. '70's and '80's,
traveled with a group of cops/firefighters bikers from Baltimore to Waterville and camped out along the Pine Creek. Did this twice a year for about 7 years. Used to go up to Fin, Fur, and Feather on top of the mountain (Haneyville) and hang out, and Saturday nights in Waterville at the local watering holes. Good times.

Small world. I was up to Pine Creek State Park for a dinner this summer. I work in Jersey Shore and live west of there, south of that park. I don't get up there often, might make a trip to the Wagon Wheel for the pool tournament they have. I've not been to that in 20+ years. I think that's St Patty's day. Been to Fin Fur and Feather a few times.

$14K is what my dad paid for our home in Charleston, WV in 1963. That place won’t be at $1MM ever. It sold for $75.5K on the 6th of this month.

I grew up in San Jose Ca. I joined the Navy at 19. I'd always planned on joining the military. I never went back due to the traffic, overcrowding, and the ridiculous California politicians.

My wife is from that area. Shame it's been run into the ground as such, it's a beautiful place to live.
