Was over to dad's house a few years ago and he talked me into letting his wife (step-mother?) test me. No big deal but they kind of freaked out when they saw the numbers. Meant nothing to me but I practically had to talk them out of calling 911... Then he wanted to test my damned blood sugar. No puncturing allowed

I am scared, now, with my good friend passing last night. H edidn't go as hard on the booze and smoking as I did in myyounger years, too. Yeah... it spooked me.

No shame in that, many are scared to die. The process can be long and painful, who wouldn't fear that. But death itself is not long nor painful. It's quick, and easy, so simple even a caveman can do it. Basically I see it as just another natural bodily function.

For me there's comfort in knowing God is real. All he requires is submission to his will. As a free man that was perhaps the hardest thing I ever did, but do it I did. Don't know what you think about that, but it is worth thinking about.
