Default A Challenge... for the Liberals.

The more vocal Liberal members here seem to have no problem whatsoever pointing fingers at Republicans, blaming Bush, and basically blaming everybody but themselves and "their" party.

In a single thread not long ago, I took a minute to point out that our friend Exotix blamed Republicans about 10 times in a few posts alone.

https://www.thevettebarn.com/forums/p...flastbush.html

While you guys are good at shit slinging towards Republicans, I haven't seen much praise of your own party.

I am very interested to hear the things that you think Obama (and the whole administration) are doing well. It shouldn't be a difficult task. So... let's hear it.

Simple question: What things are Obama and his administration doing right that should warrant his re-election? I wonder if it is possible for you guys to put together an answer that is based on his merits and not based on bashing the other party like 99.9% of your posts.

Because Conservatives are soooooo good at that, right? I mean, look at all of the threads where they do exactly that. Oh, wait...

I'm not a real Lib ... I'm a real conservative on hold until real conservatives come back in ... but I don't think they need too ... a real conservative is a fiscal and social conservative ... I see this behavior in the Dems ...

Just the way I see it ...

I voted for the other guy. Regardless, Obama isn't doing very much correctly. Unfortunately for the Republicans on this next election, they keep wasting time and energy on idiotic pursuits instead of hitting Obama harder on the things that matter.

Nothing. Unfortunately, Republicans aren't really stepping up with any decent candidates for the upcoming election, so I fear we might be stuck with him.

So it took exactly 1 post for somebody to sling shit at the other side rather than to answer the simple question. Bravo.

I'm not supporting Conservatives and this thread has NOTHING to do with them. What they do right or wrong is completely irrelevant here. This thread is about the people that support Obama and his administration and their reasons for doing so.

...in a thread where the first post starts out by slinging shit at Liberals.

Oh, I forgot, it's only okay if Conservatives do it. When Liberals do it, it's wrong. Genius!

Good. There's a thread for that, then.

Coming from a Left Leaning Progressive; I have little to no praise for the Democrats and The President. I wish the President had shown the country and the world better leadership over the last two weeks. I’m not happy at all that he was willing to give-in to people who have no concept of compromise (my opinion). Personally, I wish President Obama would just hand the keys back to the republicans and tell them they can have their White House back and to clean their own shit up, because they will do everything, including take America down, before they ever compromise with him.

No one has talked about Jobs since last October. NO ONE!

Fiscal conservative = avoiding deficit spending, reduction of government, balanced budgets, free trade, deregulation of the economy, lower taxes, etc, etc.

Social conservative = moral ideology, limited government role, traditional values, etc.

What part of THAT do you see in the current Dems???????

I vote with my heart and soul ... Bush destroyed America and countries abroad for at least the next 2 decades (the length of Depression recovery) .... further he destroyed the American Heart & Soul ... I'm appalled at the right-wing today in their last thro's of high-treason ... nobody has ever seen this in America and abroad ever ... (or at least since the facsist expansionist policies of WWII ..)

I've been this way since the 2000 RNC where Bush stated his idealogogue ... I said we're in trouble if this man comes in as POTUS ... but I didn't really believe until 9/11 then Mar. of 2004 ...

You are welcome to your opinions of Bush and his administration (obviously). I wouldn't go as far as what you say, but I also have many disagreements with his policies and actions.

Despite my criticisms of Bush, I am not about to do a 180 and change my entire belief system to be a left leaning Democrat/Progressive. I understand if you want to hate the Bush Republicans but I just can't quite figure out how that would make you switch your stance all the way around to the big government, big spending Dems that are out there today. Seems to me like you are compounding 1 set of what you see as wrongs with another completely different set rather than sticking to what are your own beliefs.

Maybe I am somehow missing what you are saying.

Apparently.

Looks like the consensus is that Obama has done nothing to help the country or to warrant his re-election.
