What has happened is lots of Americans from other states have moved here and the services now that they want are like those in Ca or Il, not going to happen, Texas will have a balanced budget and no tax increase, not asking for a federal bailout, time to cut the fat and more from the Texas budget and it will hurt some but all need to take there lumps not just the private sector

Like the 49 other states did not take the stimilus money, what it did was kick the decision down the road two years, guess what that is now as the stimilus is gone and decision time is now.

The Trans Texas Corridor was tubed as the voters did not want it, different than Obamacare, voters did not want this passed and it was, I give Perry credit, he backed off his vision of this Trans Texas Corridor as we did not want it.
