Our house is at the edge of a forest. A couple of months ago, as we were coming back from our morning walk, there was a young buck in our driveway. All dogs stopped to check him out. His antlers were maybe 6 inches high. He turned around and walked to the back of the yard and into the forest. Haven't seen him since.

Our little farm property is full of them. Every morning I see fresh tracks. And I see does and spikes regularly. A couple of days ago two spots were there and when I pulled up they stood there for a while and then casually went on their way. It is a beautiful sight.

They are very quiet and stealthy. I love seeing them. Which means I will have to fence off anything I grow.

Awesome animals. I may harvest one or two at some point.
