Bear decided we hadn't had a good slap fight in a while yesterday. I'm sporting some nice bruises and scratches. He won as usual.

Morning all
Took the '76 out for a test ride yesterday, after 6 painfull months of messing
with the brakes, I now dub it "cured"
List of stuff thrown at it:

8 new calipers (4 lip seal-Amazon, never again, 4 o-ring- Made in USA)
8 new rotors (4 Amazon-never again)
8 brake pads
3 master cylinders
1 booster.
New lines at the caliper ends.


One rotor was so badly bent, it caused a sound similar to a bad wheel bearing (brake pad hitting rotor, sound went away when brakes were applied)
Should have just returned the POS rotors after receiving the beat-up shipping boxes (boxes busted open, rotors exposed) from Amazon. Threw them in the
trash instead (3 month return expired)

I will never buy car parts from Amazon again.
I'll guess I had the wheels off 10 times, or more, working on it.
Bled the brakes 8 times or more

Going to give my back a rest now.

Those brakes sure made your life well interesting.
I haven't had bad luck with Amazon parts myself mostly.
Actually I buy alot of returns for 30% or less of normal prices.
New rotors out of spec is more common than ever.
Detroit axle rotors seem decent...

Power washed, washed and waxed da Caddy. Last of the green/yellow pollen off it.
Abs module was already programmed. Still thinking about how to get the goop out of it to repair the old one... Hmmm

Not horribly motivated today. Brain wouldn't shut off last night. Stupid brain.

You need to come to OK with Bear for a few days. I’ll train the dog and you can work in the car with hubs. 😝
