Top Gear
Sitting here watching the British show Top Gear. I've watched this show for for the past year of so. I love these guys, they have some interesting info on all makes of cars and they have a lot of fun. If you have cable or access to BBC channel you need to give this show a watch.

I need to add it to my DVR list. I saw the toyota truck they destroyed, burnt, threw it on the ocean and it kept running. That is a truck to buy.

I don't think they hate us. They tease the crap out of us sure. The vette get its quirks we all know this. They point them out but mostly still pick it as the car to buy.

If I see Clarkson push the back of a Corvette in one more time to point out the poor workmanship, I'll reach through the TV and strangle him.

Besides, I've been thinking of getting a Ferrari to sit along side my Chevy LUV. |

There's Top Gear America too
You can catch all of the British episodes on Netflix. And don't forget the American version of Top Gear which was renewed for another season.

Q: What do you call a French man killed defending his country?
A: I don't know either, its never happened! Q: Why did the Statue of Liberty take karate? A: She wanted to be the first French person to be able to defend herself. Q: What does a French military alliance and a French romance have in common? A: Both are brief, sordid, and completely meaningless. Raise your right hand if you like the French ... raise both hands if you are French. Q: what the Frenchmen can do in 5 minutes? A: Surrender twice. Going to war without France is like going to marine boot camp without your Liza Minelli CD's Q: What is the most useful thing in the French Army? A: A rearview mirror, so they can see the war. Q: Why does Nike like the French Army? A: Because, in war time, they are the biggest buyers of running shoes. Q: Why do the French have glass bottom boats in their Navy? A: To see all their other ships. OK, I'll stop now |

After Desert Storm in April 1991, the french foriegn legion was assigned to clean the beaches and blow up unexploded ordnance. I was 23, such of big name and they didn't impress me at all. If I remember correctly one frenchy's UO explosion went bad and he went in to check o it. The explosion was delayed... he was killed or killed himself. They finally found out a week after it happened, no-one missed him(I guess).
I got no idea if they went to Iraq. I know there were no frenchies there in 2004. We were in Ramadi by ourselves. We could have use them to clean up the port-a-johns, we ended up contracting some dudes from Holland. They did a good job and perhaps better than the frenchies would have. |
