I was 15 helping my grandfather raise/ replant his daughter's grave. He asked me to get a pail of water from a spigot about 100 yards away, so I drove his car over there and back to get it. He was kinda shocked.

Then that afternoon he let me drive from Gloucester to Beverly on the old state two-lane. It was a '72 Cutlass with the Rocket 350.

I grew up in Elizabeth, NJ and it was a pretty rough area. We were in the house by dark and monitored closely by my parents. When I was 13 we moved to a suburb and my world opened up. I joined the freshman wrestling team in high school and after our first match was invited to a party at one of the varsity wrestlers house. The entire squad was there along with the cheerleaders and a ton of other kids.

Drinking, bong hits, all that stuff was happening. Never was exposed to any of that until we moved to a "safe" town. LOL I had a great time. Only lived there for 2 years and then we moved to the Jersey shore where it really accelerated. (1970's) My teen years were ****ing awesome.
