How do you feel about Rangers

Mine is 4WD with an electronic locking rear diff. Ordered from the factory with only the options that I wanted. Base model, no carpet or other bullshit. Steel wheels. 6' bed for hauling bigger stuff. 2.3L intercooled turbo with no discernable lag and takes regular gas.

Right sized. Utilitarian. Decent payload and towing capacity. Very capable in snow. Fits in a regular sized, residential basement garage.

I don't like where Ford paced the tiny oil filter, on the driver's side and accessed from the wheel well, so I installed a remote filter kit. Now it takes the same filter as my '64 big block car, and is accessed under the front skid pan, right next to the drain plug.

I bought a new '95, it was ok but gutless around these hills.

A few trucks later I got a new '06, 4WD with a V-6. Plenty of power, but the front wheel bearings went out at around 30k miles, took the brakes with them.

Astros fans (I was an Astros fan until they came out as hating White people and supporting racist Marxists) were livid when Nolan Ryan went to the Rangers to finish out his career.

He has a ranch and sells Nolan Ryan branded beef these days. I've had it, couldn't say it's any better or worse than the other offerings at my local grocery stores. He's still a hometown hero in Alvin, a community south of Houston. There's a life size statue of him in front of city hall last time I drove by.
