Default If you were POTUS, who would you provide better intel to?

This one chose to give better intel to the press instead of Congress.

Brilliant!

Quote:
Senate Republicans are furious the Obama administration rebuffed their attempts to learn details of the Benghazi attack, only to give the coveted information to The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.

Senators say they were rebuffed by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton when they pressed for more information about the attack that killed U.S. envoy Christopher Stephens in Libya.

“That is the most useless, worthless briefing I have attended in a long time,” Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) told reporters after the closed-door session.
GOP lawmakers were incensed to find many of the details they tried to learn Thursday were in a front-page article in The Times the following morning.
Anyone other than a Democrat does this and they'd drive them out of town. Meh...business as usual for this administration.

You really should consider changing this to; Business as usual for the next four years.

Not yet, both Gallup and Rasmussen are tied, both had Obama by 5 a couple days ago. The bounce is gone and his poor foreign policy is starting to catch up to him. There's a long way to go and polls are meaningless for the most part. One thing remains true, despite all the media flap about Romney's supposed gaffs, the Prezie can't break away.

If Romney can expose Obama in the debates it may be over for the Prezie.

Here's the real impact of "gaffs" and see how they are starting to level out again;

The debates will be critical IMHO. Not as much for content, but for the "Likability" factor. Can Mitt finally connect with voters?

Already, the talking heads are debating just how bad a candidate Mitt is. But, while he may not be the most well-liked guy
I think this will be a bigger factor than anyone can accurately predict.

I do think this will be one of the closest, if not THE closest elections in history, with O winning by the slimmest margin.

I agree it will be close, but I think there will just be too many people not willing to pull the lever for Obama again to get him re-elected. I keep looking at the Univ. of Colorado election analysis that has predicted every election since it was first used in 1980 and has been accurate within .2 percentage points has been updated with data as recently as Sept 16th and still shows what it has since it was first loaded with this election model, Romney 53, Obama 47 with 320 electoral votes Romney to 218 for Obama. Every poll I look at once it is adjusted for the 2008 election turnout shows the same, nothing has changed.

Right now I think it's all just a lot of talk, people will voice their true opinion in November.

I am one of those. He convinced me the first time, and I voted for him albeit reluctantly.

The McPain camPAIN made me GAG, but given the alternatives.....

I still voted McPain.....but he was directed to toss the election just like what's coming up with Romney....you watch....

the PROGRESSIVES are at work....they run BOTH parties.....for over 80 years now....they run the schools for ever now, edjemaking our kids into political/full O Soapical idiots.....and they make acing those courses EASY, so to find some .gov suck job like they know something or other....and retire with 500k pension or whatEVER, like that cop in Kalifornica....

but that's ok, all the Nixon hires under the 'Great Society' programs of the 60's passed under LBJ, but PROPOSED under JFK.....are now retired at about 120k+/year on YOUR tax money.....

and never did a damn thing for over 35 years....

I know this to be true from too many INSIDE years in the DC region....

the ONLY brand of Fed.gov workers that are worth a damn are .mil......

Can you IMAGINE some useless twat from EPA getting a similar retirement???

REALLY???

On a different topic, I have a couple of American made Strats, and I'm considering having Gibson humbucking pick ups put in one. Have you had any experience changing the string spacing on a Strat?

None. Why do you need to change string spacing for a pick-up swap? You'd have to rout out the body that's a given.

I've done pick-up swaps, but always single to single or humbuckers to humbuckers.

Gibson humbuckers don't line up with the tremolo bridge on a strat. The Strat in question is an HH series so it won't need any changes to the body, but I may need to put a Floyd Rose on it to adjust the string spacing.

Maybe not worth the effort, perhaps I'll just pick up a Telecaster. I already have a Les Paul, it would just be nice to have the playability of the Strat with the tones of the Les Paul.

There is a guitar that meets that criteria! PRS.

Taurus, you're probably not going to achieve the tones your looking for with a simple pick-up swap. Way too many other factors go into that Les Paul tone.

I'm completely sold on PRS. While it's not a pure Les Paul tone, and not a pure Strat tone, it's a terrific mix of both. (And they will instantly make you a better player, they play so easy)
