Default Life is great....

Well, insert a little sarcasm here. I just got back to Ga after a quick trip to VA to take care of some of my ailing mother's business (she had a stroke in March) as some of you remember, and I hit the door here in GA and my oldest son informs me the damn dishwasher went tits up. Nothing he did, but it's 11 years old and I guess its time was up. Always sumthin'.... Honestly after all I've been dealing with, I broke out laughing.

Good to hear you laughed out loud Sometimes that's the best way to deal with adversity

I think he was afraid I would be mad. I mean it sucks, and believe me, he researched the hell out of the problem to try and fix it. The control panel is fried, and as old as it is, to me, it ain't worth fixin'. I see the bright side...I do have three other manual dishwashers in the house. Scrub a dub dub!!! On that note...a house a street over that was being rented out burnt slap down. I feel totally redeemed.

James, no worries. You got this. A broken dishwasher makes you appreciate Crete, Okinawa, or even burning some dead cow ribeyes with yours truly in Vegas.

Yeah Johnny, we probably could have sunk the island of Crete. Way toooooo much fun to be had there.

I've been in the same predicament. It really freaked the kids out because they thought my head would explode, bot I succumbed to extreme belly laughter instead.

I hope things start going your way soon. Fwiw, I'm a pm away.

I tweaked my lower back while painting the house this weekend. As I tried to clean out the paint sprayer so that I could crawl to the recliner to drink beer and bitch in agony, I accidentally relived white paint all over my upper body. Face, hat, shirt, sunglasses .......... all covered in white paint. I made up new curse words as I blindly stumbled toward the house. My wife and daughter looked at me like I had three heads. By this point, my fuming rage had evolved into a cackling laughter. They thought I'd lost my mind as all I could do was laugh about the whole situation.

Sorry, no pics.

Have you tried diagnosing what's wrong and using the online parts manuals to find the appropriate part to fix it? I've been fixing our washer and dryer for years, as well as the dishwasher. These devices are extremely modular and extremely easy to fix.

The control panel fried. My son had the problem diagnosed before we got home. As old as it is, I would rather buy a new one than wait for another problem with this one.
