SCHUYLER DIXON (AP Pro Football Writer)

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -- Dak Prescott threw four touchdown passes to help Dallas beat Washington 47-16 on Sunday, a win rendered meaningless when the Cowboys were eliminated from the playoffs by Philadelphia's victory over the New York Giants.

The Cowboys (8-8) lost control of their playoff fate with a 17-9 loss at the Eagles last week. Jerry Jones said after the game he would give Jason Garrett another season to get the Cowboys back into the playoffs. Jason Garrett makes 6 million a year.

I'm in Eagle territory ( gave up on NFL when the eagles hired Vick the dog killer) and a coworker is die hard Cowboy's fan.

I can always tell when the 'Boys do well because he doesn't shut up. When they lose, he's quiet as a church mouse.

I can't wait to get back to work Thursday

I’m a lifetime Cowboys fan but I don’t gloat. I did want them to make the playoffs for Witten.
