I read the unedited version as well. It's total horse sh!t what they get away with over there. I certainly will not even consider LG when it comes time for my LTs. I think that "kid" acted more professional than anyone in the thread. I would have been like a bull in a china shop when Lou started with his BS.

Edited version, now it makes sense. I read this for the first time late afternoon yesterday, now it looks like the same posts from LGM as it did yesterday minus a couple of pages missing from the thread, looks like I didn't get to read the original post.

Anyone have the original post?

I followed the thread and what I saw from LG amazed me. I have bought several items from LG and never had a problem. Those headers would not go on my Vette and the LG Pros and Streets I have seen on other Vettes in the past did not look like that. I met Lou at the Texas Mile in Oct 08 and he came off to me as arrogant, though his mechanics were all very nice and would tell us what they were doing to the TT Z they had to run at the mile. Lou has done lots for the Vette community and I would hope he sees that this time he is on the wrong side of the table.

I have "most of it" saved (up until I went to bed around midnight that night).

I'm not sure how much transpired after that point, but what is there will definitely let you see "what really happened". When I woke up the next morning, it had already been neutered by mods.

Here are the 5 links, each one is a page (40 posts per page is what I'm set at). Note images/smilies/avatars won't be displayed because I didn't upload those (literally hundreds of files) that are embedded on each page, I only uploaded the HTML page itself. So you may seem some blank replies...these would be the guys that only posted smilies.

Also note, most links will simply take you to CF, you can't navigate them, or go from page to page, even though it may appear just like looking at CF.

Other than that, here....lemme know if these work for you.
LG's first response is on page 3. Pages 4 &5 is when people really started getting irate at LG.

Here's my take on LGM....

1. C6 Z comes out w/ a 427... motor/market calls for 1 7/8ths primary header. LGM goes to great lenghts to try to convince people that they need their 1 3/4ths product because... A. The C6-R runs 1 3/4ths tube exhaust and B. 1 7/8ths headrs only make a smidge more power over 6000 rpms but at the expense of mid range torque. Both of these reasons were flawed and bullcrap.

2. American Racing and Kooks dominate C6 market.

3. LGM comes out w/ their super-pro headrs which magically are 1 7/8ths headers with mid-lenth prmaries... this is hillarious b/c for the first few years of the C6 being out they yapped on and on about how you only need 1 3/4ths primaries and that their super long primaries are way better.

4. Owners of American Racing post up on Z06vette.com etc. and show that the LGM super-pro headers are blatant copies of their product... with pics... it's not hard to see.

5. AR also shows that the header flanges aren't stainless (amazing what a magnet will show you) and more importantly that they're produced in China... so at the end of the day LG looks to have coppied AR and had their design made in freakin' China!

Kind of like how LG came out with their "world challege" wheels which are a direct rip-off of CCW 505As...

I used to like LG and have one of their cams in my yellow car, but of late they've really strayed from what made them a quality company and are working hard to make their products cheaper and maintain the same retail prices... My $0.02

We would never get this kind of info from the CF, as the header thread proves. Sad, another US company selling china crap.

All of these unemployed skilled autoworkers that know how to fabricate but instead companies import low quality crap to save a buck.

I guess if LGM is going this path, they will get what they deserve.

American Racing and Kooks make everything in the USA... if I ever get LTs for the red car I'll be getting American Racing this go around... had Kooks on the Z.

I'm surprised the thread stayed open as long as it did.

Only because Pewter committed himself early on.

All I can say is wow. How you guys who still post there manage to deal with all the BS going on is beyond me. I use to love that place and did everything I could to contribute there. I quit posting there 2 years ago and will never contribute another ounce of knowledge there. A lot of people thought I was banned. Nope, I still get PM's all the time but the heavy handed moderation there keeps me from ever posting there again.

It's quite a shame. That place use to be killer at one time. Thanks to guys like Y2KVert who are savvy enough to save the evidence so that the rest of us can benefit from the information. salute goes out to you man.
