Almost a criminal (true story)

Yes, this involves me, and it happened today. I'll try to keep it to Cliff's notes. My eldest son was driving to school this morning on I-75 to Macon for school. Byron Ga PD pulls him over. He was not speeding, so he was like WTF? Turns out, the Kennesaw Ga PD had fat fingered a drivers license number of some petty criminal up there whose number was close to mine. The drivers license reader hits on the '01 Corvette license plate because it is connected to my DL number. They proceed to tell him there is an outstanding warrant on ME!! Once again, he is like WTF. Hell, I've never even set foot in Kennesaw. Even though they ran my name, they didn't give him the info they should have, knowing that my name was NOT the one of the dude with the warrant. First, I talk to Kennesaw PD, then Byron PD. The Captain in Byron said Kennesaw was fixing the error for their fcuk up. I promise though, if I get pulled over, or any member of my family for this same issue, I will lawyer up. I don't have the time or patience for stupid shit like this. Plus, it really bothered my son, and my wife was blowing my phone up at work too. Ok, rant over....

When I lived in NH my son got pulled over by the state police. When they did wants and Warrants on him they had a restraining order for his name. Turned out it was on ME. So I called the local police and told them that pee wee herman had a restraining order against me and what was going on. The desh sergeant was sceptical then looked it up and then started laughing. He got his boss on the line and said they'd get back to me the next day.

The local Chief calls me the next afternoon and started laughing as he told me the story. Apparently Pee Eee spelled the name wrong on the order.

It would either be my son that got pulled over or me. The wife's car is registered to her only. My son said the cop was professional, and not an ass. Either way, how it played out had me pretty damn hot. Hopefully it is now a non issue. Kennesaw Ga better pray that it is a non issue. According to local PD, it is taken care of.
