After the last two years, when police arrested more than 600 people in Miami Beach, the city says it’s ready to crack down on the annual throng of college students and visitors. It even created a slick, highly-produced video advertisement announcing it was “breaking up with spring break.”

Cute concept, but Miami-Dade County Commissioner Keon Hardemon called the city’s message “tone deaf” and implied at a county commission meeting Tuesday that Miami Beach was targeting Black visitors.

Biloxi has a spring break that is actually called BLACK spring break. I volunteered to work it one year about 5 years ago. Its so big that Biloxi needs outside agencies to help police it. NEVER again! Once was enough. I have never seen people, if you can even call them that, compete to see who can be the most vile, disgusting and pornographic in public. Not to mention the theft of businesses, shootings and fights. I stay completely away from the beach area during it. They really need to put an end to it.

BTW...can you imagine if we had a WHITE spring break and called it that!....

The pavement apes ruin everything.

Panama City Beach has a pretty healthy spring break. For decades there was no problems other than the typical drunk kids doing stupid stuff. Then a few years ago the pavement apes began showing up en masse and the violence and shootings started.

They have even infected the hwy 30-A beaches area of south walton, that is the Malibu of the Emerald Coast...super affluent...super whitebread...

For a feel of the situation watch the 1993 movie "Ruby in Paradise". Filmed and set in Panama City Beach.
But be warned the word nigger is used in the film...wouldn't want anyone's feelings to be hurt by a word that is in almost every rap song ever produced.

Same at Myrtle Beach, we left as black biker week started. Alot of shops just close upmfor the week. Not worth the hassle.
The violence has gone way up at Myrtle Beach during any week event or spring break.

Seems to be working, News coverage shows very low participation and cops everywhere.

I recall some other town just a few years ago in Florida that was hot for years said do not come here at all! And they didn't.

Until, it went off the rails one year, with claims the KKK showed up and horseback mounted police had to clear the streets forcibly. Many of the horses were cut with straight razors. At some point, there is a cadre of people that can't have a good time without violence.

I looked that up-unless Dave Chapelle showed up, nothing about KKK.

Of course not, the KKK presence was a lie by people making an excuse for the rioting and violent crowd; I lived a few miles away -- and so, naturally, that has been expunged by the modern media. The KKK claim was thoroughly debunked later on, they were never there.

And of course, the claim was bad for the tourist business so news of the allegation gradually died out.
