It really is. I knew long ago that by being in the military, that we just did the dirty work for the rich. It has always been that way, and will be that way long after we are all dead and gone. The General hit the nail on the head. It should be mandatory reading for everyone.

General Butler was awarded the Medal of Honor twice. He was a Marines Marine. His book was about the "Banana Wars" which my father got to participate in when he first joined the USMC.

And he is correct. War is about business. And when we keep putting politicians in office who will do whatever they can to gain and stay in power war is just another tool for them to manipulate the citizens of the USA.

I have thought pretty much the same thing for decades, WW1 and especially WW2 much less the 'cold war'......then of course the Korea/VN gigs...not worth time of day, WTF did our continent give a whit damn if they all went commie or not?? Yep Irac was our buddy against Iran. So we gave them the weapons that they sold to syria. Then we took out Sadam that was a tyrant but kept control. That inturn put isis in control. And to top all this off we trained bin laden and the 911 terrorist.

As early as the Civil War we learned that war can be good for prosperity. At least on the winning side, anyway. WWII really confirmed this. Korea and Vietnam showed us we don't even have to win, and the Middle East shows us the war never has to end.
