2 rooms total 22 x 24 very minor spackling , what price should i expect, same color in both rooms not including ceiling just the walls

i get about 300 SF per gallon, so what's your wall SF? not floor SF (22x24 you say)

assume 8 foot ceilings, perimeter = 22+22+2*22 (to account for dividing wall) +24+24 = 92 linear feet of walls

92 * 8 = 736 wall SF, so i'd buy 3 gallons.

labor cost? material is about $100, so i'd guess $150-200 labor for simple cut in and roll out with one color

ok , price please? and one side has a foot of wall due to cabinets, so its not a full wall, just a foot

not being a painting contractor, but by my guessing and math:

materials - $100
labor guess - $200

total - $300.

but you also need to figure that few contractors will take on a job that small, as they then need to add an hour each way to get there and get home, so don't be surprised if you get quotes above $500, as it would be unlikely that they'd be able to string 2 small jobs together into one full day of work.

Even $825 is a reach, but it's probably a minimum they would come out for. Funny that painting has become cathartic for me, like mowing the lawn. Gotta get into the Zen

i've painted our entire house, the entire guesthouse, and my shop (12 foot ceiling). do the prep right, and the actual painting is easy.

It's Lonk Islant........and so everything is a min 2X anywhere else in the nation except Ca. and large cities.....

I just had 12 rooms done. light spackle, two coats walls, two coats ceilings, trim, doors. all in 11200.

well the final price was over 1100 $ i am wondering what type of tip i should give , its insane i am wondering how come my lazy ass just didnt do it myself paint the rooms, planning on giving a 50$ tip

A tip for what? Getting way overcharged for what you had done? Unless they did something super-special no way would I give a tip at that price.
