My post was not speaking to whether it was possible or not. My comment was a statement about people collectively trying to find a reason to be offended. Or jumping to conclusions when there are, in fact, other possibilities.

But I guess it’s normal to come to conclusions based our own experiences. We all have confirmation bias at some level.

Plane Captains are usually E1-E3 and work in what we call the Line Shack, which is literally a shack on the flight line (on land) or easily accessible to the flight deck (aboard a ship). They do daily/turnaround inspections, launch/recover aircraft (when on land), huck tie-down chains, wash aircraft, fuel (on land), do fuel/oil samples, move aircraft in/out of the hangar (on land) but don't don't do normal maintenance tasks. It's a tough, under-appreciated job.

Looks like a F/A-18. What squadron? I was in VFA-137 at Cecil Field from 1987 to 1991 back with lot VIII F/A-18A, part of CAG 13. That base got BRAC'd and the squadron moved to Lemoore in 1992. They're flying SuperHornets now.

This is pretty standard on a carrier.
I was on a ship that the officers and deck crew would wear different color uniforms meaning different jobs on the flight deck

I’ll have to ask her. She spent most of her time at Lemoore. 94-97.

Edit: She was in VFA-125.

She's adorable. And clearly not afraid to pump her own gas.

No argument, you just picked the wrong branch. The real gayness is in the Army

Never did that when I was in the Navy.

What's it like sharing a sleeping bag in a tent with an Army buddy?

Never did that at any point in my life. In the Army, we slept on different ends of the fox hole like real men..... one at a time while the other stood guard.
