Default Got my Jury Duty notice yesterday in the mail.....
I've been selected for Jury duty April 20 thru the 24th.

Read in the morning paper today that all jury trials have been suspended
until May 12th.

Lucky you. Remember if you want to get out of it, when picking jurors, just answer "if he or she got this far, they're probably guilty".
Defense lawyer will go......no. Judge will say, "you are dismissed".

Reading thru the FAQs on my questionaire, there's a blurb about this.
Must be at least 18 years of age to be selected, but after that requirement,
no consideration/discrimination given to age.

That doesn't stop the attorneys' from dismissing potential Jurors.

In Wi. cases, any licensed driver (over 18) can be selected.

Regardless, I've been called for jury duty twice (notified 3 times - this one makes #4 ) in the past,
and would serve if called again. Hopefully that won't happen again.

Just 5 counties. Wake suspended superior and district but have not addressed trial courts...

Here you can opt out if you're 70+, but it's not automatic.
