Two roof panels

Hey C-6 guys,do they offer two roof panels with the C-6 coupes? One solid and one tinted see through like the C-5?

Mine came with the painted top and I bought the other one from Gene at gmpartshouse.com.

Yep, I have both also but keep the clear top in all the time. I like the extra room feel it gives me!

I only got the clear one, but I am interested to buy a standard top if anybody has one for sale.

I have both with my C-5 but hardly ever use the glass top,here in the south it's just to hot for anything but the painted roof panel.

What color is your Vette? The hard tops come painted to match your car.

Edit: Unless you plan to have it painted to match yours.

Kind of a longshot since only about 5% of vettes are Arctic White, but I'm considering paint.

I would also be happy to score a black roof panel since I'm used to the look with the clear tinted panel virtually looking black on the outside anyways.

Ours came with the solid top and we bought a used glass top from a friend. It isn't perfect but very nice. It is also nice having a choice. We do use both but and like the look of each equally. Basically we use the glass when outside temp is not as much of a concern such as spring and fall.

You got that right! It was even worse when I lived in Arizona. I used the glass one less than 2 months a year.

I've had 2 Vettes and have had the Targa top with both. I like to look up and see the sky.

They do come with both or either when new. Best is to buy the "glass" top aftermarket so that you can use it on more than one car. I bought a "glass" top for my 2005 and still use in on my 2012. In TX I swap tops when daylight savings time changes. Way too hot on the summer for the transparent top.
