Default C5 Cargo area
I have a cargo carpet in the Z. What I dont have is something to act as a "lid" for the center and the two side cubby holes, which causes the carpet to droop in. Is there something I can purchase that is pre-cut or fitted to cover the holes? thanks!

Are you saying that the three recessed storage compartment did not have covers that latch inplace when you got your car? I do not have a Z, but my coupe has covers with latches on them. The large center cover has two latches and the two small outer covers have one each.

yes thats correct there was no lids for those areas at all and would like to get some otherwise Im going to have to make some...

too be honest I dont ever recall seeing those hole latches but a cover like that is what Im looking for...

You can get them from Ecklers, so you can probable get them from GM.

The Z06s did not come with the compartment covers like the C5s did.

Many Z owners choose to add the covers, as they are good for noise reduction, but they weren't there from the factory.

If you don't like the prices you could always borrow someones covers to use as a template and cut some out of fiberboard or whatever and get some of that sub box fabric they sell at car audio stores to cover them... probably set you back $20.

Of course I'm sure your already aware of all this but I am a lowly post whore and I like to feel as though I make a contribution no matter how small.

Made my covers. Hold them in place with velcro. Covered them with black carpet from one of the parts stores. Not an exact match, but serves the purpose. Used a thin fiberboard, rounded the corners, and installed small knobs for lifting.You can leave the knobs off and just overlay the mat.

Went the audio shop supply route for my 'o1Z and material was a perfect match !...so I did a trunk lid liner while I was at it !!!
