I have a Kobalt 80v self propelled. 1/2 acre lot minus the space for my house. I can cut our thick St Augustine grass on one 8Ah battery, it’s great. Have the leaf blower, hedge trimmer, pole saw, weed eater and edger as well. Great home system.

I've mowed when the lawn was wet and had to mow more than 3 inches of grass (1st mow of the season). One battery almost made it so I just swapped 'em.

Normally, 1 battery is more than enough
Every property on my street is 120' x 120', about 1/3 of an acre. A few years ago, a guy down the street bought the "top of the line" electric mower on sale, so it included TWO batteries for it. After a half season or so, I asked him about it, as I have gone to electric hedge trimmer, string trimmer and chain saw, and was wondering if that thing was ready for prime time?

He said "sort of". If the grass isn't too long, or too wet, he can do one half of the lawn on the two batteries. So during cutting season, he gets up early on Saturday, and cuts the front, puts the batteries on charge, and late in the afternoon he can cut the back.

I would actually be OK with that, since I often cut my front and back lawns on different days, if and only if, I could get rid of my ICE leaf blower. Without the leaf blower, I would no longer need to screw with mixed fuel, and without need for gas for the mower, I would ONLY need to stock gas for the generator during hurricane season.

Discussion of whether or not there is an affordable electric leaf blower that would do even half my lawn on one charge is what got me my most recent moderation on CFOT.

Bingo. Liberals think freedom means freedom from responsibility.

I have a 2 cycle backpack style leaf blower that works just fine, and I am retired (plenty of time to do it), and in decent physical condition (it's no problem for me to do it), so no need to hire someone, well, at least not yet.

I would like to stop playing with mixed fuel in my shed, which I would do if there was an acceptable electric leaf blower. If and when I got there, I would be OK with an electric mower, even if it meant cutting the front and the back on different days (I am retired after all).

Dang, I'll hafta head "eastbound and down" to check that out, C'mon.
No I have extra batteries. The 8Ah is way too heavy for a hand held tool, they are interchangeable tho. All of the same chargers too.

I have a craftsman cordless leaf blower, it's weak. Will not move pine straw nor many leaves.
I use it to clean a patio off mainly and dry the car.
