Depends on when Obama will start trying to have a recovery. I have, so far, only seen moves to make it worse and dig the government into a deeper hole.

Did the Republicans fix it? Nope...they let it happen right under their nose.

They did nothing to fix Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac...even though they, correctly, called them out as a problem, they were too chicken to fix them. And they're still a problem.

They did nothing to fix some of the highest corporate taxes in the world. The complained about them, but they made no move to fix them. And they're still a problem...and the Democrats can only talk about how great it would be to make them higher.

They did nothing to fix the loss of manufacturing jobs. They complained about the unions, but did nothing to fix the issue. And the Democrats pander to them.

They did nothing to control spending and increase American confidence in our own government's fiscal responsibility. And the Democrats trip over themselves to try to set new spending records.

The Republicans are certainly not blameless...and I have never held them as such, but the Democrats are the far greater of two evils...

Let's see...first you agree with me, then you continue to show that you have no concept how the tax breaks worked, then you ask about wars than both parties voted for and are continuing.

You're lost again...

Until this post I always thought your poor grammar and spelling was simply sloppy typing. Only now do I realize you have a genuine lack of comprehension.

The tax breaks did bring jobs the R's promised. And they did bring additional revenue.

BTW, there were no new tax breaks in Dec. 2010...

I personally and sincerely couldn't give a shit what a Name and a Avatar on a Corvette Internet Political Forum thinks of me or what I type in it. But obviously it's important to you what I type and how I type it, and because of that, I'll make sure I continue to type whatever I care to type in anyway I care to type it. Only because you went out of your way to be a little ***ch about it.

If you have a problem with my poor grammar, spelling and sloppy typing, I'm sure there are plenty of individuals who have plenty of time to cater to your crying, I'm not one of those individuals.

Now do you what to continue to or stay on topic.

Seems our President is touting the 200k+ job growth the last three months even if in the last month 60k were those high paying McDonalds jobs, those were filled because the 99 week handout is over and they were being given to much in unemployment if they did not take these jobs before

I seem to remember the Republicans stating that if the tax breaks went away there would be additional job losses.

If the tax breaks were were made permanent it would encourage business confidence.

They weren't made permanent...they were temporarily extended...that's status quo.

Of course, you were listening to liberal media and heard what they wanted you to hear...and have the facts confused again. More status quo...

I blame the Republicans from 2001-2006 for the crap we have now more than I even blame the Democrats. They set the climate for it. They created the "but you did it!" mentality...and they can't deny it.

It's why we have to have the new blood like the Tea Party stand up and actually make something happen.
What I hold them responsible for is reducing taxes in a time of war. That was stupid and caused most of the spending.

It was a combined time of war and bad economy...it was a poor choice either way.

I fault them for a crapload of stuff...

So...back when the bottom was falling out of the stock market because of the .com bubble bursting and the media was complaining non-stop about Republicans allowing 5-6% unemployment or Sept. 11th?
