Installing a new harness would be more than I want to tackle. Looking for a shop that can diagnose and fix the problem with the gauge panel. I can drive it now without a speedometer. I just need to stay with the flow of traffic.

Next on the list is correcting the constant on when running fan. He piggybacked a 14 gauge wire on the fuse box and ran it to the fan. No relay nor fuse and the wire does get warm. Going to put a relay under the hood and tap the positive block for power to the fan with inline fuse holder and 10 gauge wire. I'll use his 14 gauge wire for the lead to the switch side of the relay.

$$$ At least it's not Lucas. I don't know man. This sounds like an invitation for electrical gremlins for the future. I might think about just going Painless and being done.

Need to see what shows up about the gauges. All other electrical systems work fine.

The engine was rebuilt last November with hooker headers and a new clutch included. The drive line is in good shape.

A new set of seat coverings and a little paint touchup is all that is needed body/interior wise.

I hope you get lucky. I salvaged the wiring in my Nova by replacing the subharnesses that had been hacked, but I had the engine and dash out at the time.
