How I see it after most of Week 1 (still one more game tonight, Louisville vs. Ole Miss)

1. Alabama
2. Ohio State
3. Georgia
4. Penn State
5. UCLA
6. Notre Dame
7. Virginia Tech
8. Texas
9. Iowa


Not considering any teams who only played sisters of the poor (Oregon, Texas A&M) so far.


UGA obviously has the best resume at this point, but until they get healthy on offense and show more firepower, can't leap them ahead of Ohio State. No one is in Alabama's class yet.

Penn State had the toughest road game and rose to the occasion. I'd say after that, Notre Dame had the 2nd best road win.

Unless LSU is completely falling apart now and gives up 40 points on a weekly basis in SEC play, UCLA has a big feather in their cap for laying it on their defense.

UCLA isn't the 5th best team in the nation. I said this years ago. Ed Orgeron is not a head coach. That's why he didn't become one at USC. He won a National Championship with a cfb team full of Number one draft picks. Lee Corso would have won a National Championship with that team. I would say UCLA is a top 15 team.

Probably not, but I rank only based on what teams show on the field.

With only 1-2 games played for everyone, UCLA deserves to be there. Not a believer in pre-season rankings and then adjusting those baseless rankings gradually based on what actually happens on the field.

I agree with you. I don't like how they have someone at #3 at the beginning and they lose twice and drop to 17 when some at 25 wins twice and moves up to 18. Good seeing you here Will

I would love to...I heard that some airline gave discounted rates for the game from Eugene to Columbus. Man I hope we show up this time...It will be a testament to Cristobal's Coaching.
