Especially since us boomers cover an 18 year timespan. I plan on being in my own home 20+ years from now. (63 y/o currently)

Really? That's what you got from that video? She is talking about dynamics in the early 2030s. Will ALL of the boomers be gone by then? If I live to 2035, I will be turning 71 years old. I may not make it, but I'm guessing lots of my boomer brethren will.

I am 68 and my wife is 72. We bought our current house in 2016 and stepped down from 5000 sf to about 2400 sf. We are planning on this being the last house we own.

I think there are all kinds of young family members that will inherit those houses and they never hit the market, because young people can't afford home these days.

Two scenarios here, assuming a housing glut.
1. The old, shitty homes will be bulldozed and the previous owners move to to better ones, priced lower than the glut.
2. Same "move up" situation, but instead of being bulldozed, the old shitty homes will be crammed full of illegals.
