Yeah, it's been gone for a few months now. Been in the high 70s to low 80s until today, rain and cool. You could always ask our favourite union man Joe Steamed Up for help, but then you'd have to pay union wages = (8 hours pay for 2 hours work) plus 3 weeks holidays and medical, etc. etc.
Also they may not let you play any JD on the job site. Food for thought Wayne

Forget that, I can't work without JD singing in the background... Besides, there's only 2 of use building this house and I don't think you can join a Union with just 2 people, especally when the other guys the boss so he may not want a Union.......WW

PS: Sweets, your right about the time you get off when your in a Union..When I retired from UPS I was getting 15 sick and personal days off a year, Plus I was up to the maximum of 8 weeks vacation a year...Thats 2 1/2 months off a year.......WW

BTW....the smoke from the AZ fires is so thick here I can't see the Franklin Mountains from my house. I live 2 miles from them. The entire city is covered in a blanket of thick smoke. I can't imagine what the people there are going through.

The day I was in Arkansas was hot and humid but, that was where I found the cheapest gas in 11 states or 6,000 miles. Honestly on the whole 12,000+ trip I think Arkansas had the cheapest gas.

If I would live in Arkansas I open a bar in the downtown area and name it "Monika". I use K to be cool.

Our temps will be in the 95-105 range now until September with an average of 85% humidity. It's terrible.

Monika! That's good. I will do you one better:

My parents know Bill Clinton pretty good. My mother was a federal agent in Little Rock for twenty years. My parents now own a commercial floor covering business and I work there. Back when I was working in the field instead of the office, we did the floors in Clinton's office. My stepdad used to get a kick out of telling people that it wasn't just women who had been under Clinton's desk but my stepson has too! Asshole was talking about me fixing the laminate floors in his office. Now to properly set this up, my ex-girlfriend worked with Gennifer Flowers at the same time. We all knew what was going on. One night, during the first campaign, my girlfriend and I was at Cajuns Wharf. A guy actually paged me at the bar and I walked up. He asked me if I could get Gennifer on the phone and if I could he would give me $500. Broke and with an expensive blow habit, I needed cash to say the least. I thought about it for a minute and ask who he was. He gave me a business card with his name on it. It read "National Enquirer, Investigator" underneath his name. I told him to give me a few minutes and I eased over to a phone bank outside. I called her and told her what was up and she told me to hang up, go get him and call her back. I did it and she told me to put him on the phone. I did that and stood there for a minute and the dude pulled a roll of $100 out of his pocket and peeled of five of them and told me to get lost. THAT, my friend, is how the story was broke. I felt bad afterwords and actually had people from the Clinton campaign headquarters calling my house and coming to my door. I lived with my grandmother at the time. They called my mother and she got a hold of me and told me to either get out of town or lay low, very low. I went to my grandfathers in the northeast part of the state and lived on a farm for a few months, scared shitless. I was still coming to Little Rock twice a week to "re-up" and they even found out who I was getting my shit from and tracked THEM down. It finally all blew over but I don't think I have ever been that nervous in my life.
