The 78 pace car is just exclusively unique.

It needs to be lowered in the front.

Always keeping an eye out for one, the original plan when the 25th Anniversary car went away was to replace it with one.

John, you mentioned they drive bad, brake bad and handle bad. I know a guy with a 78 Silver (like yours) Limited Edition L82 and he speak highly of it.

What was wrong with yours?

Have you driven one? The ride is stiff, the interior gets very warm and noisy and they are very under powered. I have enjoyed my late C3's, never owned a early one so I don't know if they are different.

Fun drivers, but I wouldn't want to take a long drive in one. The red 81 was the nicest C3 I have driven, put in better shocks and replaced the mono leaf which softened it up considerably. However, I got a considerable amount of heat and noise from the tunnel, I guess I could of insulated it a little, they do make kits to do so.

The 78 wasn't very comfortable, very soft clutch and clunky shifter. Better seats in the 81 as well.

Just my opinion, the C4 spoiled me.

Yes, I drove a 68 Convertible 4-speed few times. Your question brought back memories. I do remember the heat roasting my feet, the clutch needed to be pressed ALL THE WAY and the front end felt loose compared to my 77 Monte Carlo.

The Vette was my old boss' before I joined the Marines. He still have it and I always visit him when I go on vacation.

In all my time playing with these things, I have never spent time behind the wheel of a good chrome bumper car so I just don't know. One of my salesman put me onto this 73 today that's been sitting across the street from one of our accounts hasn't moved in months, I think I'll go knock on the door tomorrow;

Its a SBC but, that can be changed or improved. A stroker and a Holley double-pumper would do great things.

Its white, perfect color to upgrade

Is it a 4-speed or auto?

Don't know yet, he hasn't looked inside. Also, doesn't the back look a little high to you?

No, those things sit high like that. The older C3 dont and I have no idea why is that.

78 I mentioned

You already know, they can be lowered.

That's why we decided to flip the 78, it did not have the Oyster interior that one does. It had that hideous Mahogany interior. Had it been Oyster one of us would have kept it.

Thats Rich Woods Vette. The "white" interiors looks nice on that one. He has driven that thing all over USA.

Any relation?
Why do you do this to me, Jon?...I have no idea where they got that title from, there not from LANSING MICHIGAN ... That's my cousin Fernell and second cousin Otis.. They both like John Denver as much as I do, and as you can see they have honed there singing skills to the point of sounding almost exactly like the JD we love. Now if they would just start showing up for there AA meetings they could be on the road to recovery...I believe this was filmed in cousin Fernell's Mobile home up on Skunk Swamp road......WW

'Stop....can we stop! Hey! They're deliberately filming me!' says Otis.

Otis takes his JD (and his JD) seriously and demands rehersal time. He is NOT a quitter, but a mere perfectionist. Same goes with his JD. AA is for quitters and as we've established, Otis is not a quitter!
