So I got power back about 3 this afternoon almost a full day with no power. An hour later, I get a call from the city.....low water pressure, boil water advisory. Shit. I was gonna take a shower now that I have the house warmed up a bit.

We lose power a couple times per year. Basically every time there is a strong wind because of all the trees around here. Longest outage I recall was two weeks. Usually not down for more than a couple of days but in this case they'd sent our repair people to another state due to an incoming hurricane... Apparently they didn't think the wind could reach this far?

Lucky you. Last time I got a letter from the city telling me the water was bad was to explain why I nearly died the previous week. Worst stomach pain evar!
