Fancy Schmancy Watch Question [MVMT]

I've seen quite a bit of advertising lately for a new brand of watch. The brand is called MVMT.

Are they any good? Worth what they're asking in terms of price?

Non of them are worth the high price. Just like the purses and shoes my wife also buys. Having the name brand make some feel better. In my case happy wife is worth it.

SANTA MONICA, California -- Payless recently took over a former Armani store in Santa Monica to prove that good shoes don't need to be expensive.

The shoe retailer slapped on a new name for the storefront and gave its discounted shoes inflated designer prices.

About $3,000 worth of shoes sold within a few hours and after the shoppers paid, staffers told them that the shoes were from Payless.

"You've got to be kidding me," one customer said.

The buyers got their money back and free shoes.

The ad company, which assisted with the event, said Payless "wanted to push the social experiment genre to new extremes, while simultaneously using it to make a cultural statement."

I looked into MVMT about 2 months ago; didn't see anything I liked. They seem to be mostly fashion watches

I've got a Citizen and freaking love it. Best watch I've ever owned.

Problem is, my Mom loves it too. Now she has it.

It's essentially pretending to be a luxury watch by use of marketing and social media when in reality it's nothing more than Walmart or Target quality.
