One of the biggest reasons I had to retire from the military. I just couldn't bear the thought of going to anyone's war that didn't serve bacon. For some reason, they had a case of the ass about bacon in the middle east.. They will wipe their ass with their bare hand, but letting me have some fcuking bacon is just too much.

There is a place in Hawkinsville called M and T meats. People literally drive hours to buy stuff there. I'll admit though, their stuff is first rate.

I found a meat store that sells locally raised meat product. I’ve been buying fresh pork belly and curing/smoking bacon. It’s changed my life!

It depends a lot on where you are and when. I spent 4+ months in the UAE in 2014, and I could buy Oscar Meyer bacon at the supermarket 3 blocks from my apartment. I lived in Dubai, which is probably the most western-friendly city of all the Arab countries.
