Ive got a manual that the previous owner printed out...fu(ker is about an inch thick, about 125pages....

He got it for free somewhere online earlier this year. He said he put in new ink cartridges, filled the damn hopper up with paper, and set it to print....he said when he got home it was out of paper and was only half thru the manual, he put in another load of paper and it printed for about an hour before it was done...

flipping through it, I think they had some kind of hard on for the 4X4 model front axel, half of the thing is about that setup.

What i like about it...its only like 8 bolts on the oil pan, 6 nuts on the head, 2 nuts on the valve cover, 2 nuts on the rockers, couple small bolts for brackets...unscrew the injector lines, and lift the hed off, 4 rod bolts..knock the pistons out.

Honest to God...I went from trying to crank the engine, to having both pistons on the bench in about 25 minutes....

I will have to check around, maybe there is a free pdf out there (kinda hope not) or I can find one on ebay, those were kind of a popular tractor I think?

Got the head this morning, new valves in it, resurfaces, seats cut and lapped. I cleaned up the injectors, put them back in, put the rings on the pistons, dropped them in, hooked up the battery....oil and filter on/in. I cracked both injector lines to bleed them...cranked it about 6 revolutions...had good pulses...as I tightened the first line...the fuc*er started on the 1st lung....so I wuickly tightened the 2nd line and it lit right up.

Added water....took it up to full temp...runs like a boss.

Dont know what the speeds are supposed ot be..but according to the tach...im seeing 750 low idle..and about 3500 wide open. I need to grab some new injector lines, I think one has a bid of a drip at the injector...Dunno...might loosen it, reposition, and rtighten it back down.

Now all I need is a tire and flush the hydraulics...they worked for about 30 seconds then went dead...filter was plugged with sludge, so it had some water in the sump..oh well, time for a quick kersosene flush, and 5.5 gallons of fresh o il.
