I googled everything I could about the issue and there is actually a fix for previous windows versions, but nothing so far for W10.
Oh well..... I'll look periodically for a solution.

Hmmm, I think the issue coincided with the installation of MS Edge.

Can you reverse that "update" to see if that resolves your issue?

I would do a system restore to a previous time in the past.

I just did this on my laptop about 3 weeks ago. For some unknown reason, my laptop was sluggish. Could not figure it out so I selected a restore point about a week old. Fixed.

Hmmm, I think the issue coincided with the installation of MS Edge.

I hate Microsoft. Almost as bad as Apple. I haven't tried this yet but plan to try it. Or you could roll back as mentioned above and google a registry hack that prevents MS from installing Edge. I've seen the hack but didn't save the link.
