Additional Info: The 1923 Peace dollar in poor condition will most likely be worth more as scrap or junk silver. With silver prices being so high it may be better to sell it at melt. If the coin is in decent condition however you might want to keep it
Numismatic vs Intrinsic Value: This coin in poor condition is worth $6.48 less than the intrinsic value from silver content of $23.48, this coin is thus more valuable to a silver bug than to a coin collector. You will most likely find however that it is hard to get a coin for less than spot price. At least that has been our experience. Want more info? That's about an MS 60 grade worth about $24 dealer payout or about $28 on the market,I have been collecting Peace and Morgan dollars for 40 years,to bad it's not a 1921 peace dollar.
